Job summary

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is seeking a Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program Director to provide leadership, supervision, and oversight of our Day Treatment program serving children and adolescents.

This role is based at Bladen Day Treatment in Elizabethtown and operates on a 7:30 AM–3:30 PM schedule. The Director will supervise clinical and support staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster partnerships with schools, DSS, DJJ, and community providers, while advancing program

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human services or related field with two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience.
• NC licensure as LPA, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent.
• Three years supervision experience in the substance abuse and/or mental health field and five total years of experience as an alternative.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily Day Treatment operations and program services.
• Supervise, coach, and develop clinical and support staff.
• Monitor clinical services, documentation, authorizations, and compliance with agency, Medicaid, and LME/MCO requirements.
• Oversee assessments, person-centered plans, crisis plans, treatment planning, and required documentation.
• Lead staff meetings, training, onboarding, and professional development.
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and other personnel activities.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with schools, DSS, DJJ, behavioral health providers, courts, and community organizations.
• Promote Day Treatment services through community outreach, presentations, and professional partnerships.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee daily Day Treatment operations and program services.

Required Educational/Experiential Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program with a Master’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of North Carolina licensure as one of the following: LPA, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent

OR

• Three years supervision experience in the substance abuse and /or mental health field as well as five total years of experience in the substance abuse and/or mental health field.

• Experience with program development, compliance, documentation, and treatment planning.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and community relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid NC driver's license and ability to work in community settings.
