Job summary

Lake Washington School District seeks a Behavioral Health Service Clinical Specialist to support students with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs within the Special Services Department. You will provide direct counseling, collaborate with educators, families, and community providers, and help develop FBAs, PBSPs, crisis plans, and SEL supports.

Qualifications

• Licensed Behavioral Health professional (WA) required or eligible for licensure.
• Experience providing behavioral health or mental health services to children/adolescents preferred.
• Experience in educational settings or with IEP processes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of FBAs, PBIS, MTSS, trauma-informed care, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct individual, group, and family-centered behavioral health services to students.
• Collaborate with school teams, educators, families, and community providers to implement supports.
• Assist in conducting FBAs, behavioral health assessments, and planning PBSPs/BIPs.
• Develop and monitor crisis response plans and social-emotional learning supports.
• Prepare reports and contribute to IEP goals and accommodations.
• Deliver professional learning and coaching on behavioral health topics.
