Job summary

Gloucester Township School District Special Services is seeking a Behavior Support Technician in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. The role supports students under BCBA/BCaBA supervision and collaborates with classroom teachers to implement behavior analytic strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, pass a criminal background check, and ideally hold or be pursuing a Registered Behavior Technician certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Background check must be cleared.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred.
• Relevant previous experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly implements behavior analytic services with students.
• Teaches language, academic, self-help and social skills as per IEP.
• Teaches new skills through intensive teaching strategies.
• Implements prompting procedures and reinforcement systems.
• Assists students to acquire academic and life skills including self-help tasks.
• Participates in staff training to improve skills.
• Observes, records and reports student behavior and data.
• Reduces unsafe behaviors under supervision of BCBA/BCaBA.
• Responds to crisis situations and maintains confidentiality with families and colleagues.
