Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services is hiring a Behavioral Interventionist for the Bremerton West Hills School to provide behavioral and therapeutic support to students within an on-site, structured program. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement individual plans and support students’ social-emotional development.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with families and staff to foster positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.
• High School Diploma or GED with four or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with children within the structure of an intensive, milieu-based program.
• Licensure/credentials such as Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration and FBI fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise students with behavioral interventions in a structured school setting.
• Monitor and redirect student behavior according to approved procedures.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and conduct one-to-one supports.
• Engage with families and coordinate with other systems as appropriate.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes.
