Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Designated Crisis Responder to provide crisis intervention and involuntary treatment investigations throughout Kitsap County. This role supports individuals in behavioral health emergencies, prioritizing safety and least restrictive interventions, with decisions impacting clients, families, and the community.

Primary duties include conducting face-to-face assessments, ITA investigations, and collaborating with law enforcement and healthcare

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health or waiver criteria per RCW 71.24.260.
• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience as Specialist; at least 5 years direct treatment experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide crisis outreach services across Kitsap County with face-to-face assessments.
• Conduct ITA investigations adhering to RCW 71.05 and 71.34 and DCR protocols.
• Assess client safety for individuals and the community during interventions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, medical professionals, and involved agencies.
• Maintain thorough investigations using interviews, records, and input from families.
• Ensure crisis resolution via least restrictive alternatives when possible.
• Maintain expertise in WA State ITA laws and DCR protocols.
