Job summary

Community Autism Services (CAS) is seeking a School-Based BCBA to support PreK and Elementary programs in San Rafael, CA. You will work with a team of CAS BCBAs and RBTs to sustain strong behavioral programming, support IEP teams, and build internal capacity within school staff.

This consultative, capacity-building role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and students, with a 35-hour/week schedule, onsite and virtual collaboration, and mentorship from senior clinicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• Current BCBA certification in good standing.
• 2+ years of ABA experience in school-based or educational settings.
• Experience conducting FBAs, writing BIPs, and coaching/supporting RBTs.
• Strong collaboration and communication with school personnel and families.
• Commitment to ethical, student-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs for school caseloads.
• Utilize assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, SSIS) to identify strengths and learning needs.
• Collect, analyze, and apply behavioral data to guide decisions and monitor progress.
• Ensure fidelity of implementation through ongoing data review and program adjustments.
• Coach and model evidence-based strategies for teachers and support staff.
• Collaborate with CAS BCBAs to coach RBTs and behavior technicians in a consultative role.
• Partner with school teams and families to support generalization and long-term success.
• Deliver professional development sessions and trainings.
• Maintain timely documentation aligned with district standards.
