Job summary

Roane County Schools is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with behavioral, social, emotional, and developmental needs. The BCBA will assess, plan, and train staff to implement behavioral interventions in accordance with IDEA and ethics guidelines.

The role requires collaboration with school administrators, teachers, and families to promote safe, inclusive classrooms and comply with BACB standards. Travel between district schools may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Current BCBA certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and families to support positive behavior.
• Participate in IEP teams and coordinate with outside service providers as needed.
• Provide training and coaching on PBIS, de-escalation, and crisis prevention.
