Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE Licensure as a Behavior Specialist or related Certification.
• Master’s degree in related field.
• Knowledge of instructional differentiation strategies to support students with a range of learning needs.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is preferred/required by district.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to individual students, classroom teachers and educational assistants.
• Complete FBAs (Functional Behavior Assessments) as needed.
• Develop and train staff to implement BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans).
• Consult with classroom teachers to develop classroom-wide management systems.
• Attend TEAM meetings and participate in PBIS/SBST initiatives.
• Develop and oversee IEP goals and objectives and ensure evidence-based practices.
