Qualifications include a High School Diploma, ASL interpretation certificate, Educational Interpreter certification, and RID certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in ASL interpretation.
• Educational Interpreter certification (can be obtained through us).
• RID certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into ASL and vice versa.
• Provide interpretation in educational, medical, clinical, or office settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics.
• Research subject matter for technical terminology.
• Demonstrate strong listening and signing skills.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure effective communication access.
