Job summary

ESS Clinical is seeking an ASL Interpreter for school-based settings in the Bloomington area. Roles can be full-time or part-time, with W2 status and benefits for eligible hours. Start date is August for the 2026-2027 school year, with typical school hours from Monday to Friday.

You will interpret classroom instruction, collaborate with teachers and support staff, and help students access education. Required: high school diploma; state certification/licensure; RID/NIC/EIPA preferred;

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• State interpreter certification or licensure, as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and impartial ASL interpretation during classroom instruction and school activities
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
• Interpret educational materials, discussions, meetings, and special events
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics per interpreter standards
• Collaborate with educational teams to support student success
• Promote communication access while encouraging student independence
