Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department. You may assist with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals. This role emphasizes reliable, compassionate support in a school setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR if applicable, health clearance, and compliance with all state/federal requirements. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist students requiring instructional and/or behavioral support under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Provide support for students with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.
• Collaborate with related health professionals and school staff to support student well-being.

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
