Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department. The School Aide will also help with personal, physical mobility, and therapeutic care needs for students.

Ideal candidates must have a High School diploma, comply with professional standards, and be at least 18 years old. Benefits include competitive pay, health insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and awards programs.

Qualifications

• Must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Must have current CPR certification if applicable.
• Must provide TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must have a current Health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
