Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department. The role includes aiding with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs, as directed by health professionals.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and comply with applicable professional standards. CPR and health paperwork may be required, with benefits and eligibility consistent with employment

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
