Job summary

Children's Choice Learning Center is seeking a School Age Teacher to work 9:30am–6:30pm, with a pay range of $13–$15 per hour. Ideal candidates bring maturity, reliability, and professionalism to provide a safe, structured after-school program for school-age children.

You will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, communicate with families through daily reports, and collaborate with a calm, team-oriented staff to foster routine and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare center is preferred.
• Demonstrated professionalism, patience, and strong communication.
• Dependability and reliability in attendance and performance.
• Passion for teaching and nurturing children.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Hold a High School Diploma or higher.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass all background checks.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom.

Position Overview

Schedule: 9:30am–6:30pm
Pay Range: $13–$15/hr

Your Responsibilities

You will help create a safe, structured, and enriching experience for school-age children, including:

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Communicating professionally with families, including completing daily reports
• Developing and posting engaging lesson plans
• Providing active supervision, positive guidance, and consistent routines
• Creating an upbeat, structured after-school environment that balances fun, enrichment, and learning
• Encouraging exploration, creativity, social-emotional development, and multicultural awareness
• Cross-training across classrooms (Infant through Pre-K)
• Must hold a valid driver's license. Bus driving is part of this role; however, the center provides structured, hands-on training and supervised practice before any independent driving occurs. PM routes only.
