Job summary

The Whole Child Learning Center, Inc. is seeking a passionate part-time preschool teacher (2:30 p.m.–5:45 p.m.) and part-time pre-kindergarten teachers (12:30 p.m.–5:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–5:45 p.m.).

Our staff family is close-knit, with many long-tenured team members and strong ties to the community. Ideal candidates are caring, creative, and committed to supporting children's growth in a warm classroom that emphasizes developmentally appropriate practices and PA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of child development principles and classroom management.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing engaging lesson plans from our curriculum.
• Provide care for preschoolers, meeting physical and emotional needs.
• Prepare learning materials and classroom supplies as needed.
• Foster a positive environment encouraging exploration and creativity.
• Collaborate with other teachers to maintain a healthy, safe learning space.

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time preschool teacher (2:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m.), as well as part-time pre-kindergarten teachers (12:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m.) Our Staff Family is truly unique including staff that originally attended The Whole Child Learning Center as children and those that have been with us for 20 years. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Teacher to join our team!

The Ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, loving and has a passion for working with children!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Implement engaging lesson plan activities from our curriculum that promote growth and development in accordance with PA standards and developmentally appropriate practices.


• Provide care for preschoolers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.


• Assist in preparing any necessary learning materials.


• Foster a positive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.


• Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)


• Previous experience in childcare, or babysitting is highly desirable.


• Minimum of 2 years working in childcare (required)


• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management


• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
