Job Description
Tiny Tots & Dots Learning Ministry is now hiring Lead teachers in our school age classroom. We are looking for a teacher that loves to work with children, help the children grow in their academics, and are team players! Our school age teachers need to have experience successfully managing a classroom with up to 20 children (ages 6-12), follow state guidelines and regulations, be comfortable speaking with parents, be technologically savvy to update children's activities on brightwheel, and have experience in creating and implementing your own curriculum that is age appropriate.

Responsibilities
- Using modulated, and appropriate voice
- Maintain a safe environment
- Follow all FSSA requirements
- Staying current on all trainings, certifications, and professional development requirements by the center
- Submit all needed paper for your staff folder
- Maintain continuous supervision and accountability of students
- Follow state and center guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing classroom daily while closing and throughout the day
- Keeping your emergency red bag on you at all times
- Following diaper procedures per state standards
- Following daily classroom/activity schedules
- Remaining professional at all times
- Having a flexible and positive attitude
- Keeping classroom up to date on brightwheel
- Turning in lesson plans in on time
- Wearing the appropriate attire
- Communicating with parents
- Updating classroom decor regularly
- Not being on your personal phone
- Only using screen time when it is appropriate
- Providing age appropriate activities
- Washing children's hands at appropriate times
- Ensuring personal belongings are in a locker or locked cabinet
- Interacting with the children throughout the day
- Being on time for your shift
- Taking accountability for actions
- Being present for all center activities and meetings
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- Valid driver's license preferred
- CDA (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- 1 year of experience in childcare
- Must have experience with children
- English language required, Spanish a plus

Pay and Schedule
Pay: $14.00 - $17.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift
