Job summary

YMCA of the Inland Northwest is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to support the School Age Programs Director in creating safe, compliant learning environments for youth across multiple sites in Spokane. You will promote positive relationships with youth, families, school staff, and community partners while upholding YMCA values.

The role requires coordinating staff onboarding, training, licensing compliance, and behavior support planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 30-45 credits in related field.
• One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare programs.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing behavioral support plans in a childcare or educational setting.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Eligible for or holds certifications for: Child Abuse Prevention, CPR/AED, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens.
• TB Test, DEL MERIT, Portable Background Clearance, Fingerprints upon request; 30-hour STARS Basic Training or Education Exemption.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff onboarding and licensing training to maintain compliance and scheduling eligibility.
• Assists in maintaining program quality by site visits and evaluating operations.
• Oversees behavioral support across all sites and coordinates parent meetings as needed.
• Assist in planning programs and licensing applications to establish new childcare sites.
• Train, develop, and evaluate on-site staff and provide feedback on service.
• Monitor licensing standards and ensure safety, staff and child file integrity.
