Job summary

Celebree School is seeking an experienced Classroom Leader to plan and direct the school-age classroom, ensuring a developmentally appropriate learning environment and aligning with our mission.

The role includes guiding a teacher assistant, maintaining compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations, creating engaging lesson plans, communicating with families, and ongoing professional growth through our Employee Investment Cycle.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has an AA/credit-equivalent degree in Elementary Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Includes 45 clock hours in Child Development (birth through school-age).
• Includes 45 clock hours Curriculum for School Age Care.
• Includes 9 clock hours training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public.
• Includes 400 hours of experience with school children or 30 semester hours of college.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct operations of the assigned classroom for school-age activities.
• Provide support and direction to the teacher assistant.
• Ensure compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and company standards.
• Maintain welcoming environment and update Parent Board.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with themes and curriculum.
• Assist and supervise children; use Conscious Discipline in behavior management.
• Communicate with parents with updates on their child’s development.
• Maintain open communication with team and parents.
• Identify opportunities or problems and coordinate with staff to resolve; maintain CE credits.
