Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a Classroom Leader to plan and direct operations for school-age activities, ensuring a developmentally appropriate learning environment.

The role requires coordinating with teacher assistants, maintaining compliant classrooms, and delivering engaging lesson plans aligned with Celebree’s curriculum. Strong communication with families and ongoing CE credits are essential.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies or similar.
• 45 clock hours Child Development and 45 clock hours Curriculum for School Age Care, plus 9 hours training in communication.
• 400 hours of experience with school children or 1 year of college considered case by case.

Responsibilities

• Manages classroom ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and a Parent Board updated regularly.
• Creates and implements thorough lesson plans age-appropriate and aligned with weekly themes and Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assists and supervises children; counsels using Conscious Discipline and appropriate behavior management.
• Communicates effectively with parents, greetings by name and regular updates on development and happenings.
• Maintains open and effective communication with team and parents.
• Identifies opportunities and problems and works with staff to resolve; maintains CE credits.
