Job summary

The YWCA Hartford Region, Inc. is seeking a School Age Assistant to support the Kidslink program by delivering age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, and supporting safe, healthy development for K-5 students.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), and reliable transportation. Hours align with early morning and afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in an educational setting with children K-5th grade preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within two months.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs and homework help for children enrolled in the program.
• Identify children needing additional support and implement differentiated instruction.
• Ensure program issues related to licensing, safety, and health are communicated within 24 hours.
• Monitor facility equipment and materials to stay compliant with state licensing.
