Job summary

ESS is seeking a School Age Paraprofessional Aide in Quakertown, PA. The role supports students with special needs and assists the classroom teacher with instructional reinforcement and supervision.

Qualifications include 48 college credits or a high school diploma with Para Ed. Certification, state and federal clearances, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Prior to employment, required screenings include FBI fingerprinting and health forms.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 48 college credits or a high school diploma with Para Ed. Certification.
• Pennsylvania State Police Clearance is required.
• Child Abuse Clearance is required.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid Certification required.
• FBI Fingerprinting is required.
• School Health Form: Physical and Tuberculosis Test must be completed.
• PDE Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, schoolyard, and during activities.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs following IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the teacher and administration
