Channel Islands YMCA is seeking a School Age Childcare Teacher in Ventura, CA. You will assist in planning, supervising, and implementing childcare programs in line with California licensing guidelines and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for children.

You will supervise up to 14 children (or 28 with an assistant) and provide engaging activities while maintaining HEPA standards and strong connections with families. Requires 18+ and relevant education with certifications within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 12 units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• 6 months of experience in a childcare setting.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings within two weeks of hire.
• Ability to obtain Criminal Record Clearance, Health Screening, and negative TB test.
