Job summary

The Santa Barbara Family YMCA in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a School Age Childcare Teacher to assist in planning, supervising, and implementing childcare programs in accordance with California Community Care Licensing. The teacher will supervise up to 14 children independently and coordinate with an Assistant or Associate Teacher to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include implementing planned activities, upholding HEPA standards, maintaining clean program

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess 12 units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• 6 months of experience in a childcare setting.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire.
• Ability to obtain Criminal Record Clearance.
• Health Screening Report and negative TB test required prior to first day of employment.
