Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA is seeking a School Age Childcare Assistant to support planning, supervision, and implementation of childcare programs in line with California licensing guidelines. The role involves keeping children safe, fostering positive behaviors, and building connections with children and families.

The position requires at least 18 years old, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and six units in child development or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Assists in planning, supervising, and implementing childcare programs per CA Community Care Licensing guidelines.
• Provides quality care and supervision to children with safety and inclusion in mind.
• Demonstrates positive behavior guidance and supports individual needs.
• Engages with children and families, ensuring HEPA standards and healthy activity where applicable.

• Provide safe, nurturing care and supervision for all children.
