Job summary

YMCA of Montclair is seeking a Program Coordinator to plan, manage, and supervise developmentally appropriate School-Age Childcare programs at multiple sites and to oversee the summer camp program. The role requires coordinating curriculum, budgeting support, staff supervision, and ensuring safety compliance across locations in Montclair, Verona, and Bloomfield.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years in youth development, experience with SACC and camps, strong communication skills, and a valid

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Education or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of Youth Development experience required.
• Experience in SACC and camp programs preferred.
• Staff supervision and program curriculum experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or obtain within 90 days.
• Driver's license required with ability to commute to multiple sites daily.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise curriculum for School Age Childcare and Camp across multiple sites.
• Assist in developing annual operating objectives and budgets for the department.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Develop and evaluate program curriculum for SACC and Camp.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain positive relationships with school districts and partners.
• Lead camp planning and coordinate special projects.
