Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Preston Veteran's Memorial School in Preston, CT, for the 2026–2027 school year.

Part-time, non-exempt role with morning and/or afternoon shifts, offering employer-paid childcare and a supportive team environment. Compensation ranges from $16.94 to $18.44 per hour and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
