Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Petersham Center School for the 20262027 school year. The position offers a part-time, non-exempt role with hours aligned to the school day and pay between $17.00 and $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, supervising children, and supporting program operations. Ideal candidates are 18+ with experience with school-age kids and a positive, reliable attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree and at least three months of experience working with school-age children.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.
• At least nine months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
