Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs in Connecticut for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon programs and pays $16.98–$18.44 per hour.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, and offers employer-paid childcare for children in the program, along with benefits such as telehealth, dental coverage, AFLAC plans, a 401(k), paid sick time, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:50 AM
