Diocese of Venice, Inc. seeks a full-time School Accountant for St. Martha School & St. Mary Academy in Sarasota, FL. The incumbent will support the Business Manager and Principal and oversee the school’s accounting operations.

Responsibilities include budget administration, A/R/A/P/GL, tuition management (FACTS), and collaboration with admissions for scholarships. A Level 2 background check and compliance with Florida fingerprinting are required.

Qualifikationen

• AA or BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; understands confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic faith.
• Must pass a level 2 background screening.

Aufgaben

• Maintains accuracy of all financial files and records.
• Assist in budget preparation, administration and review subject to Parish and School Finance Council approval.
• Oversees accounting services (A/R, A/P, GL, Collections).
• Manages school tuition system (FACTS), including payment plan, collections and billing.
• Works with parents on tuition and fee payments.
• Coordinates with Admissions Director to handle scholarship information and scholarships in portal; ensures payments.
• Reconciles credit cards and bank statements.
• Assists with ADP recruitment and onboarding of new hires as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Business Manager or Principal.
