Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents' Chattanooga State campus is seeking a Coordinator of Scholarships & Federal Work Study to administer scholarships, federal work study awards, and TN Student Assistance Awards. You will verify eligibility, calculate awards, monitor enrollment, and reconcile payments while staying current on federal/state requirements.

Collaborating with Financial Aid staff and campus offices, you will guide students and families, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least an Associate’s Degree in a related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other commonly used office applications.
• Prefer experience with student information systems (Ellucian Banner/Colleague/PeopleSoft).
• Experience in finance, customer service, or educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between offices for federal work study and scholarships.
• Verify eligibility, document completion, and award calculations.
• Monitor enrollment and adjust awards per policy and FERPA guidelines.
• Communicate with students and families regarding aid eligibility and status.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state guidelines and institutional policies.
