Job summary

Kilgore College is seeking a Scholarship Coordinator to oversee the institution's scholarship program, waivers, and exemptions, aligning awards with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. The role collaborates with students, parents, counselors, faculty, and staff to counsel on financial aid and manage the Regent and PF systems.

The coordinator builds scholarship rosters, schedules committee meetings, prepares award packages, and ensures timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; extensive related experience may substitute.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle high levels of stress.

Responsibilities

• Manage institution's comprehensive scholarship program and communicate essential information related to the full financial aid process.
• Interact daily with students, parents, counselors, administrators, external partners, and Kilgore College staff to counsel on financial aid.
• Award institutional scholarships, state exemptions, waivers, and outside agency scholarships.
• Prepare and manage scholarship award packages per guidelines and oversee Regent and PF systems.
• Coordinate with Kilgore College Foundation to allocate funds.
• Attend high school FAFSA events and participate in recruitment.
• Prepare weekly reports and monthly scholarship reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Foundation to ensure scholarship funds are allocated effectively.
