Job summary

The Hebrew Free Loan Society (HFLS) seeks a Scholarship Coordinator to manage day-to-day administration of four scholarship programs, guiding applicants, maintaining records in Zengine and Salesforce, and supporting committee review and award distribution. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the Coordinator will ensure timely reporting and reconciliations.

The role emphasizes customer service, careful data management, and discretion in a nonprofit setting in New York City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; recent graduate welcomed.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential data.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for applicants; respond professionally.
• Assist applicants with account creation, document uploads, and portal issues.
• Monitor pipelines, deadlines, and communications; update databases.
• Review applications for completeness and eligibility.
• Verify enrollment, tuition, and financial aid information.
• Coordinate disbursements and reporting with HFLS and UJA-Federation.
