Job summary

Aptar is seeking a Scheduling Team Leader at the Cary site to supervise the Planner/Schedulers and align production with demand. You will drive performance, coach a four-person team, and partner with Operations to ensure timely orders and efficient scheduling using SAP.

The role requires 3–5 years in scheduling within manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Competitive compensation is offered with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of college; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred in SCM, Logistics, Business or Operations management.
• 3–5 years of material planning, inventory control or production scheduling in manufacturing.
• Experience in a closed-loop ERP environment is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of escalation for site-level activities to resolve issues that delay orders.
• Direct, coach and evaluate four scheduling staff; prioritize workloads and provide feedback.
• Assist with hiring, training, and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
• Identify, document and implement scheduling best practices.
• Coordinate ownership and backup across planning responsibilities and report production status issues to leadership.
• Use SAP to schedule production orders based on resources, inventory and schedules; generate orders.
• Align daily production schedules with Operations; ensure realistic, executable near-term plans.
• Facilitate daily schedule reviews with Planning and Operations and optimize work-center utilization.
• Monitor KPIs: schedule adherence, OTIF, lead times and order confirmations; communicate changes to stakeholders.
