Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced scheduling specialist to support patient scheduling, financial clearance, and pre-registration across multiple facilities. You will verify insurance eligibility, coordinate complex diagnostic testing scheduling, and start the patient billing process to ensure smooth hospital services.

The role requires 2–5 years in scheduling or patient access, proficiency with registration/accounting systems, and certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access experience.
• CRCR or CHAA certification within 1 year of hire.
• Proficient with Patient Registration/Patient Accounting software.
• Specialist II requires knowledge of multiple scheduling systems.
• 5+ years scheduling in an acute care setting.
• Ability to schedule complex facility-based testing across facilities/states.

Responsibilities

• Support patient scheduling and financial clearance processes across multiple facilities.
• Perform pre-registration, scheduling, and insurance eligibility verification.
• Handle complex diagnostic testing scheduling with study-specific instructions.
• Begin patient experience and initiate billing for hospital services.
• Coordinate across service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and service quality.
