Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an administrative healthcare professional to manage patient scheduling, eligibility, referrals, and pre-certification coordination in a behavioral health setting. You will interact with families and providers, ensure accurate demographics and insurance details, and support post-discharge follow-up across the care continuum.

The role requires strong communication, proficiency in Word/Excel, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes; an Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; healthcare experience may substitute.
• At least 1 year in an administrative healthcare role.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographics and insurance details.
• Handle calls and schedule behavioral health appointments.
• Receive referrals via phone, electronic transmission, walk-ins, or mail.
• Maintain a referral log and meet response-time guidelines.
• Provide appointment prep information to families during scheduling.
• Return voicemails promptly during operating hours.
• Coordinate with authorization team for pre-certifications.
• Liaise with patients, families, and providers on pre-certification issues.
• Coordinate follow-up care and discharge-related tasks.
