The Arc of the Ozarks in Republic, Missouri is seeking a Medical Scheduling Specialist to support Therapy Services. You will coordinate 24 therapy providers and manage appointments for children and families across OT, PT, Speech therapy, and related services.

This full-time, hourly, in-person role offers a clear schedule and responsibilities including insurance verification, front-desk coverage, and responsive communication with families and providers.

Join The Arc of the Ozarks as a Medical Scheduling Specialist supporting our Therapy Services team at Dynamic Strides Therapy. In this role, you’ll coordinate appointments across a team of 24 therapy providers, helping children and families access Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Aquatics, AAC, and Feeding Therapy services.

Pay: $19.00–$20.98/hour

Employment Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt

Work Location: Dynamic Strides Therapy – Republic, MO

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch
• Friday: 7:00 AM–11:00 AM
• In-person position

As the primary scheduler for Therapy Services, you’ll play an important role in keeping appointments organized, responding to schedule changes, communicating with families and providers, and helping the clinic run smoothly each day.

What You’ll Do

• Schedule and confirm evaluations, follow-up appointments, and recurring therapy sessions
• Coordinate schedules across 24 therapy providers to support efficient use of appointment availability
• Respond to cancellations, appointment changes, and rescheduling requests
• Maintain accurate client and appointment information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Verify insurance information and assist with payer-related scheduling requirements
• Communicate with clients, families, providers, and team members about appointments and scheduling needs
• Provide information about therapy services and appointment preparation
• Assist with client check-in, front-desk coverage, and payment processing as needed
• Help resolve scheduling conflicts and support smooth day-to-day clinic operations
• Provide additional administrative support as needed

Schedule, Location & Pay

Pay: $19.00–$20.98 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch
• Friday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM

Location: Dynamic Strides Therapy in Republic, Missouri

This is a full-time, in-person position.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and schedule changes accurately
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with clients, providers, and team members
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information appropriately
• Ability to work the posted schedule in person at Dynamic Strides Therapy

Preferred:

• At least one year of scheduling, administrative, or related experience
• Previous experience in a healthcare, therapy, medical office, or similar setting
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) or similar scheduling system
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Experience with insurance verification or payer-related scheduling requirements
• Knowledge of therapy services such as OT, PT, or Speech Therapy
