The Arc of the Ozarks in Republic, Missouri is seeking a Medical Scheduling Specialist to support Therapy Services. You will coordinate 24 therapy providers and manage appointments for children and families across OT, PT, Speech therapy, and related services.

This full-time, hourly, in-person role offers a clear schedule and responsibilities including insurance verification, front-desk coverage, and responsive communication with families and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities are needed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm evaluations, follow-up appointments, and recurring therapy sessions.
• Coordinate schedules across 24 therapy providers to optimize availability.
• Respond to cancellations, changes, and rescheduling requests.
• Maintain accurate client and appointment data in the EHR.
• Verify insurance information and assist with payer scheduling requirements.
• Communicate with clients, families, providers and team members about appointments.
• Assist with front-desk coverage and payment processing as needed.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts to support daily clinic operations.
