Job summary

Family Care Associates of Effingham is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to be a primary point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments and provider schedules with professionalism and compassion.

You will answer calls, manage patient messages, and maintain accurate EMR data while supporting other front office roles to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year previous experience working in medical facility preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, confidential medical environment.
• Professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Candidates will be cross-trained to assist other front office departments, providing opportunities to broaden their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and grow within our practice.

As a Scheduling Specialist, you will be one of the first points of contact for our patients, helping create a positive experience. You'll play an important role in connecting patients with the care they need by scheduling appointments, coordinating provider schedules, answering questions, and ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism and compassion.

Primary Duties

Work Hours

The regular work hours for this position are 7:30am - 4:30pm. The schedule is subject to change with production demands. Perform Saturday clinic hours per rotation as needed.

Benefits

This position starts at $17 per hour, with the opportunity for higher pay based on experience and qualifications.
