Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a details-driven Scheduler/Estimator to join our Project Management team in Detroit. You will develop and update project plans and estimates, analyze schedules, and support time and cost claims while ensuring data credibility.

You will leverage Primavera P6 and related tools, track progress, and contribute to continuous improvement across large-scale energy projects in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Business Administration or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Associate degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, Math, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• High School or GED with 7+ years of experience.
• Preferred: Scheduler: 2+ years of experience with Primavera P6
• Preferred: Estimator: 2+ years of construction estimating on large projects
• Ability to work in a power plant environment; strong communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in developing and updating the project plan and estimate/schedule.
• Develops and analyzes project estimates or schedules, including time impact and delay analysis and schedule updates.
• Ensures credibility of estimate/schedule information.
• Assists with preparation of project time and cost claims.
• Develops and records historical estimate/schedule information and lessons learned.
• Applies estimating/planning tools and software and ensures controls are in place.
• Participates in continuous improvement of the estimating/scheduling organization.
• Develops master and detail schedules with milestones, WBS, costs, labor and equipment.
• Monitors schedule progress and informs management of changes; provides progress reports and forecasts.
