You will guide physicians and patients through the scheduling process, enter data accurately, and complete the outpatient verification to secure authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year healthcare experience.
• Experience with data entry, customer service, and medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of third-party requirements and healthcare billing.
• Understanding HIPAA privacy standards preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for outpatient procedures per guidelines.
• Guide physicians, staff, and patients through scheduling.
• Confirm appointments with physicians or patients as needed.
• Obtain insurance information to expedite verification/authorization.
• Enter accurate data into the scheduling system.
• Complete outpatient verification for insurance and authorizations.
• Review account history and consult supervisor on delays.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
