Job summary

Hensel Phelps in the United States seeks a Scheduling Engineer to assist the project team in creating, monitoring and maintaining procurement and project schedules. You will ensure milestone completion using WBS, CPM and EVM practices for effective project control.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering, 5+ years of scheduling experience, and proficiency with scheduling software. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 5+ years of construction scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in developing, loading resources, analyzing and reporting on schedules.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), CPM, and TIA.
• Experience with Federal Project contracts/scheduling.
• General knowledge of construction means and methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules and work breakdown structures.
• Analyze budget and resource variances from baseline.
• Prepare monthly narratives and reports per contract specs.
• Create baseline schedules with updates and recovery plans.
• Identify schedule risks and mitigation actions.
• Communicate schedule status with field staff and client.
• Forecast impacts of variances and manage claims.
• Lead schedule reviews with consultants and stakeholders.
• Train staff on scheduling systems.
