Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in San Diego is seeking enthusiastic Ambassadors to support workforce planning and scheduling. You will analyze labor utilization, produce daily reports, and help determine staffing levels across departments while maintaining accuracy and compliance with policy.

You will train ambassadors on labor management applications and serve as the scheduling creator/editor for individual departments, working a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Scheduling experience required.
  • Experience with line schedule management preferred.
  • MS Office (Excel/Access) familiarity preferred.
  • Three months experience with TMM applications preferred.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support workforce planning and scheduling with clear, accurate reporting.
  • Work in a team and share findings with leadership at multiple levels.
  • Analyze labor patterns and identify trends for improvements.
  • Standardize daily labor usage reports and distribute them internally.
  • Help determine optimal staffing levels based on budget and priorities.
  • Produce schedules and maintain accuracy per company policy.
  • Provide support to operational management teams and trainers.
  • Serve as scheduling creator/editor for departments.

What you get to do:
  • You will support workforce planning and scheduling by providing clear, accurate, analytical interpretation and reporting of labor utilization.
  • You will also: Work in a team environment and interact with others in a professional manner while sharing findings and solutions with various levels of leadership.
  • Analyze labor & staffing patterns while Identifying trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Standardize and internally distribute daily labor usage reports.
  • Help determine optimal staffing levels for different departments and job roles based on budget constraints and business priorities while making recommendations for reallocating resources as needed.
  • Produce schedules and maintain accuracy in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide support to operational management teams.
  • Provide support and training for Ambassadors as well as labor management applications.
  • Serve as primary scheduling creator and editor for individual departments.
What it takes to succeed:
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Scheduling experience required.
  • Experience with line schedule management preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office applications, EXCEL and ACCESS preferred.
  • Three months experience with TMM applications preferred.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights (if needed).
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
  • Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/hot temperature extremes.
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to- overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
  • Perform all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Able to be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
  • Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: 19.50 USD per hour
