Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for the Gastroenterology department in Louisville, KY. This role supports scheduling for patient visits, tests, and hospital procedures across multiple facilities, ensuring accurate records and timely coordination.

The Coordinator will work closely with Nurse Navigation, Geneticists, Oncology, and Radiology teams, requiring clear communication and strong organizational skills.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years clerical experience in a physician office preferred.
• Scheduling applications experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Make appointments for patients in-office and by phone for doctors, testing and to schedule procedures in the hospital and at other facilities.
• Coordinate scheduling with hospital departments and external facilities as needed.
• Collaborate with Nurse navigation, Geneticists, Oncology, Surgery scheduling, Plastic Surgery and Radiology.
• Update medical records accordingly in the system (OnBase).
• Clear and concise communication regarding surgical scheduling; strong organizational skills are essential.
• Perform other general office assignments as needed.
• Obtain appropriate authorization through the patient’s insurance company.
