Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support clinic teams and ensure smooth patient flow across our Michigan centers.

You will schedule follow-ups, manage referrals and no-shows, maintain patient records, collaborate with care staff, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of orientation program.
  • One year experience in outpatient physician practice or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule routine follow-up and treatment appointments, referrals, no-shows, and reschedules.
  • Ensure quality patient care by following policies and coordinating with the care team.
  • Maintain and update the patient electronic medical record.
  • Support ongoing quality improvement for efficient, cost-effective care.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain skills.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
Position Overview:

The Scheduling Coordinator facilitates excellent patient care by supporting and collaborating with clinic team.

Desired/Required Qualifications:
Education:
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Required to successfully complete orientation program

Experience:
  • Preferred one year experience in an outpatient physician practice or healthcare setting
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, scheduling routine follow-up and treatment appointments, managing external referrals and consults, handling no-shows, answering phone calls, and rescheduling patients on bump lists.

  2. Assume day-to-day accountability for the delivery of quality services through consistent application of policies, procedures, protocols, and standards. 3. Communicates with patients and visitors in a caring and respectful manner. Collaborates with other care team members and anticipates their needs to ensure coordinated patient care.

  3. Utilizes and maintains patient electronic medical record

  4. Assists with ongoing quality improvement to provide efficient, cost-effective care.

  5. Engages in continuous education and training to maintain skills, knowledge, and competency to complete functions of role.

  6. All other duties as assigned.
