Qualifications

• Two years of administrative, process-management, or project-management experience.
• HVAC or similar trade industry experience preferred.
• Previous dispatching experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool service, or other service trade preferred.
• Experience with dispatching or field-service software preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple calls and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, prioritize, and dispatch service and maintenance calls.
• Monitor technicians' progress and adjust schedules throughout the day.

Able Heating and Air in Culpeper is looking for an experienced Service Dispatcher to keep our technicians organized, our customers informed, and our daily service schedule running efficiently.

This is an important, fast-paced role for someone who can confidently manage changing priorities, solve problems, and keep multiple moving pieces on track. We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented professional who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and remains positive under pressure.

Compensation

$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Seasonal overtime may be required from May through October.

Position Summary

The Service Dispatcher coordinates our technicians' daily schedules and helps ensure every customer receives timely, professional service. You will prioritize incoming calls, assign the right technician based on skill level and location, monitor jobs throughout the day, and adjust the schedule as needed.

• Work closely with technicians, managers, and office staff to support efficient daily operations
