Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Scheduler/Pre-Registrar to manage calls and fax requests for scheduling outpatient tests, ensuring a smooth patient experience. You will maintain an up-to-date schedule, perform preregistration with accuracy, and help patients understand their financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities include insurance eligibility checks, coordinating with providers, and handling high-call volume across multiple lines, all in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and fax requests to schedule outpatient tests to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain scheduling system to keep appointments updated with no conflicts.
• Complete preregistration data accurately by phone, including patient clinical and financial information.
• Check insurance eligibility and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Handle multiple specialty calls and coordinate with providers as needed.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Scheduler/Pre-Registrar, you will efficiently manage incoming phone calls and fax requests to schedule outpatient tests, thereby ensuring a seamless experience for our valued patients.

• Maintains scheduling system: ensures schedule is uptodate with no conflicting appointments.
• Performs preregistration process through timely, accurate, and courteous completion of patient clinical and financial data by telephone.
• Accurately schedules patient exams in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical insurances and the financial responsibility for the patient.
• Checks insurance eligibility.
• Responsible for all incoming lines, handles numerous specialty calls, initiates calls to providers.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Office experience in a healthcare environment, medical terminology, knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 codes, ability to multitask and prioritization skills

Preferred

• One (1) year previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience

Pay Range

$19.05 - $29.53 /hour
