Job summary

Turner & Townsend in New York seeks an experienced Scheduler/Planner Manager to lead project controls on a large-scale capital program. You will develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule.

Interfaces with stakeholders, prepares baselines, conducts resource loading and risk analysis, and delivers dashboards and executive summaries using EVM methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Between 3-5 years of applicable experience.
• Direct experience in a complex matrix environment.
• Expertise using Primavera P6.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Certification: AACE preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Project and Smartsheets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update owners' Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Establish the schedule management program and deliverables for large-scale capital programs.
• Interface with project stakeholders to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval.
• Conduct resource loading and leveling.
• Consolidate contractors' schedules into the IMS.
• Assess impacts on critical paths and report to the project team.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and produce progress reports and dashboards.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Scheduler/ Planner Manager to join our team to support scheduling as a project controls function on a large-scale project. The ideal individual will have a proven track record of successfully delivering construction project control services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update owners' Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Establish the schedule management program and deliverables to be used on large scale capital programs.
• Interface with project stakeholders as trusted advisors to provide guidance and recommendations for the project.
• Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.
• Conduct schedule of resource loading and leveling.
• Consolidate contractors schedule to incorporate into IMS.
• Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action. Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies, perform schedule analytics, and prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, trend analyses, and executive-level schedule communications.
• Maintain records of scope changes, trends, risks, assumptions, and variances that may impact schedule performance, and assess associated impacts to project delivery.
• Assure the credibility of the information contained in the schedule.
• Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all projects stages.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

• Project/program size in dollar value: >=$1B
• Software specific requirements: Microsoft Suite, Oracle P6

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $110K-$160K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
