Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Planner Manager to join our team to support scheduling as a project controls function on a large-scale project. The ideal individual will have a proven track record of successfully delivering construction project control services.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the IMS, establishing the schedule program, interfacing with stakeholders, and applying EVM methods to provide periodic progress reports and executive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Between 5-7 years of applicable experience.
  • Direct experience working on teams within a complex matrix environment.
  • Certification Requirements: AACE Certification (preferred)
  • Expertise using Oracle Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheets (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and update owners' Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Establish the schedule management program and deliverables to be used on large scale capital programs.
  • Interface with project stakeholders as trusted advisors to provide guidance and recommendations for the project.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.
  • Conduct schedule of resource loading and leveling.
  • Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action. Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies, perform schedule analytics, and prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, trend analyses, and executive-level schedule communications.
  • Maintain records of scope changes, trends, risks, assumptions, and variances that may impact schedule performance, and assess associated impacts to project delivery.
  • Assure the credibility of the information contained in the schedule.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all projects stages.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management/cost management/quantity surveying/engineering
5-7 years of applicable experience
