Job summary

Weastec, Inc. in Hillsboro, OH is seeking a Scheduling/Production Clerk responsible for daily scheduling, ensuring on-time shipments and high customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Scheduling Supervisor and other departments to balance orders, forecasts, and production capacity. The role requires coordination with OEM portals (Honda, Toyota, VW, Chrysler, GM) and hands-on use of Infor XA ARS to load forecasts and release orders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree with relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, time management and attention to detail; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule daily production using MRP and Infor XA software.
  • Review shortages and create/adjust production schedules.
  • Maintain customer orders via Infor XA ARS for OEM portals (Honda, Toyota, VW, Chrysler, GM).
  • Act as liaison between customers and internal departments (Sales, Shipping, Production, Quality, Engineering).
  • Load sales forecasts into Infor XA Auto Release system for long-range procurement.
  • Update design changes to MBPN and ensure correct design level is shipped.
  • Support monthly reports as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Scheduler Lead or above.

About the Company

Weastec, Inc. was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Toyodenso Co. Ltd., a global leader electrical switches, electronics and sensors. Weastec supplies these products to the North American Automotive, Powersports and Power Equipment markets.
The Hillsboro headquarters, a production facility in scenic southwestern Ohio, is conveniently located to deliver product directly to major OEMs such as Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen. Weastec prides itself on superior quality and world-class supply chain management, both of which are managed from the Hillsboro facility.
In 2005, the Weastec Technical Center was established in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Dublin. The technical center is responsible for design, development and testing of new products and is the customer liaison throughout the new product creation cycle.
In 2022, Weastec reopened the Greenfield operations facility and began the introduction of automated assembly lines. This location also serves as additional warehouse space for the Hillsboro headquarters.

Job Summary

Performs the day-to-day operations of scheduling and serves as a primary contact with customers to assure a
high level of customer satisfaction and achieve quality standards regarding shipping and scheduling. This
position will work closely with the Scheduling Supervisor, Scheduling Lead, or designated associate for training
for a minimum of 1 year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily scheduling; using material requirement planning (MRP) software, Infor XA
    software, orders received via (EDI)electronic data interchange daily, ARS (F3), and manual releases within
    the lnfor XA database. (Includes reviewing of component shortage reports, daily behind schedules, daily
    cum reports and morning shipping shortage reports)
  • Develops, adjusts, and audits appropriate production schedules and orders based on factors such as
    customer orders, interval sales forecasts, inventory levels, line capacities, parts delivery lead time, pending
    design changes, and future product build orders.
  • Maintains customer orders via Infor XA - ARS including Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Chrysler, and GM portals.
  • Acts as a liaison between customers, and other internal departments including Sales, Shipping,
    Production, Quality, Specifications, and Technical Engineering.
  • Responsible for loading Sales forecasts by manually keying each part number into the lnfor XA Auto
    Release system (Infor XA-ARS) for those customers whose forecast does not go far enough out in the
    system for Procurement. Information is based off the sales forecast data.
  • Maintains customer design changes in the system to ensure proper design level is shipped to the customer by following the Manufacturing Based Part Number (MBPN) with help and direction from the Scheduling Supervisor or Scheduling Lead.
  • Support in Monthly reports as needed.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by Scheduler Lead or above.
