Job summary

Yamad is seeking a Master Production Scheduler Assistant in South Charleston, OH. The role focuses on supporting the Master Production Scheduler to ensure lines are scheduled in alignment with customer requirements.

Daily and weekly line schedules, work orders, and DPS inventory balance are core duties. Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years in production planning, familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production planning and scheduling experience in automotive manufacturing.
• APICS or Master Scheduling certificate highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Master Production Scheduler in all assigned duties and help maintain schedules.
• Create and release daily/weekly Line Schedules and Work Orders.
• Complete Monthly Work Orders for Production and balance daily inventories in DPS system.
• Develop Recovery Schedules based on backorders and customer requests.
• Follow up on domestic order deliveries and participate in daily team meetings.
• Unload (and occasionally load) die cast components daily.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the Master Production Scheduler in ensuring all lines are properly scheduled and communicated to, so that there are no issues with customer requirements or requests.

Essential Functions

• Assists Master Production Scheduler in all assigned Job Duties.
• Completes Monthly Work Orders for Production.
• Daily cycle counts for at risk components, including using MRP system.
• Create and release daily/weekly Line Schedules and Work Orders
• Balance daily inventories in DPS scheduling system.
• Create Recovery Schedules based on Backorders and Customer request.
• Complete monthly domestic component orders and forecasts based on EDI Orders.
• Follow-up on domestic order deliveries.
• Participate in daily team meetings.
• Unload (also sometimes load) die cast components on trailer daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Functions

• Interact with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment for all Associates.

Requirements

Education

Degree in business, logistics or related field preferred, APICS or Master Scheduling certificate highly desired.

Experience

Position requires three to five years of production planning and scheduling experience preferably in an automotive manufacturing facility, familiarity with PDCA, 5-S, and root cause analysis activities.

Skills

Position requires excellent interpersonal skills, computer software knowledge especially advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Working Conditions

The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 30 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
